Overview of the Bikkura Tamago Series
Bandai will release a new addition to their popular mascot bath bomb series, “Bikkura Tamago: Go! Pokémon Type Bath Bombs,” starting on September 16, 2024, in Japan. Priced at 858 yen each, these bath bombs are themed around all 18 Pokémon types, with two types being released every other month until January 2026.
When you drop the bath bomb into the water, a Pokémon mascot will appear, giving you the experience of catching a Pokémon as if you were throwing a Poké Ball in the bath. The first two types available in September will be “Ice-type” and “Ghost-type” Pokémon. The Ice-type bath bomb turns the water blue and gives off a refreshing menthol scent, while the Ghost-type bath bomb changes the water to purple and features titanium dioxide for a murky, dark ambiance. Each set includes one of five random Pokémon mascots, which cannot be chosen.
