Overview of the McDonald’s Happy Meal “Hello Kitty”
McDonald’s Japan is set to release the Happy Meal “Hello Kitty” for a limited time starting September 13, 2024, in Japan. Prices start at 490 yen (prices may vary by location and for delivery). This Happy Meal set includes eight sports-themed toys featuring Sanrio’s popular character “Hello Kitty,” as well as one secret toy.
The first wave of toys includes tabletop sports games, while the second wave features cheering goods for sports spectators. Both waves showcase retro designs of Hello Kitty, with hidden cute details throughout. From September 14, a special promotion will run where customers will receive a “Hello Kitty Big Sticker” with each Happy Meal purchase.

First Wave: September 13 (Fri) – September 26 (Thu)
Second Wave: September 27 (Fri) – October 10 (Thu)

Third Wave: October 11 (Fri) –
During the third wave, customers will receive one of the nine toys from the first or second wave at random. Depending on stock availability, previously released toys may also be distributed.
Weekend Present (September 14, 15, 16)
From September 14 to 16, customers who purchase a Happy Meal “Hello Kitty” will receive a “Hello Kitty Big Sticker” as a weekend gift.
